The Missouri Department of Corrections maintains an inmate search tool on its website that gives access to information on inmates in state prisons. Visit the DOC's website and click on the inmate search tool on its homepage. Use the inmate's name or DOC number for the search. When using the name search, input the inmate's last name and the full or partial first name. The results will show inmates with identical names. Use other details such as age, race, gender, height, weight, and hair color to find the inmate you are looking for. You can also learn about the inmate's charges, sentence, release date, programs, and incarceration facility.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (www.bop.gov) 

The Federal Bureau of Prisons provides information on inmates in its two facilities on its website. To access the records, use the inmate locator tool on the inmate's page. The locator has two search fields, one uses the inmate's BOP number, and the other uses the inmate's name. You can also include the inmate's age, date of birth, race, ethnicity, and gender to narrow the search. 

VINE (www.vinelink.com) 

VINE (Victim Information and Notification Every Day) is a notification service that provides victims and interested persons with inmate information from all prisons and jails in Missouri. To get a text or email notification from VINE, register as a member and provide them with the details of the inmate you want to follow. VINE will send you a message every time the inmate's status changes. 

County Websites 

County sheriffs also maintain online inmate records through the sheriff's website or the county website. In some counties, the information is in the form of a roster containing the inmates in the facilities. Other counties have an advanced search function that uses the inmate's name and date of birth for the search. The search results show the inmate's name, age, race, gender, release date, bail amounts, and charges.
