It is important to note that the minimum search criteria for access to details are either a DOC offender number or the first two letters of the inmate's last name. In addition, there exist additional search methods which assist in narrowing your results. They include the inmate's gender and age. Offenders in the state prisoner lookup are identified by their name as it appears on the official documents. The site will utilize the DOC inmate number in the search box if you enter the offender's last name and DOC offender number. After submitting the inmate's details, you obtain several results such as the offender's physical description, gender, bookings, arrests, bond amount, release date, court dates, facility incarcerated, and crime committed.

Locating ICE Detainee

If a loved one is held in ICE custody, you can use the ICE Detainee Locator System, which allows you to locate detainees of 18 years and above. If your loved one is a juvenile, you can contact your local field office to know the detainee's whereabouts. There are several reasons an ICE officer can arrest an individual; entering the country illegally, if the judgment hasn't been issued on their political asylum case and following orders given by a judge for their deportation, or while a removal proceeding is pending.

Below are the two main searchable options:

Search by A-Number

You find a detainee online using the Alien Registration Number, a unique nine-digit provided to noncitizens at the time their A-File is designed. If the number contains fewer digits, you must add zeros at the beginning for better results. You can acquire the A-Number from immigration documents, including work permits, green cards, immigrant fee handouts, and passport visa stamps. Alongside the A-Number, you must include the detainee's country of birth.

Search by Biological Details

When searching using biological information, you must provide the detainee's details, such as the name, age, date of birth, and country of birth. You should ensure that the detainee's name is an exact match for better results. In addition, if you encounter challenges while searching, ensure you check out for reversed names or remove/add a hyphen, versions, or misspellings.

Sex Offender Search

The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation must keep an up-to-date registry available and accessible through the websites. You can know sex offenders in your neighborhood by visiting the National Sex Offender Public page. For a successful search, you must provide the offender's name and address. Apart from searching online, you can visit the law enforcement entities such as the police department and the sheriff's office.
